Numerous mountain pastures and huts in Nassfeld (Sportgastein) offer homemade products such as bread, bacon, cheese and butter. A hike through the Nassfeld is always an experience and is also possible with a pushchair!

Sportgastein is also the starting point for longer hikes, for example to the Bockhartsee, the Niedersachsenhaus or the Hagener Hütte (towards Mallnitz). In Sportgastein you can enjoy a unique mountain panorama of the Hohe Tauern National Park.

Around 300 cattle, 50 horses and around 1,500 sheep spend the summer months in Sportgastein.
At the beginning of September, a big sheep round-up with "Schafischör" is a festival!
