For an accidental traveller, Mislinja is a settlement with a church and a few houses on both sides of the main road, while it actually unites the five former old settlements. The development of the settlement is intertwined with its location by the Celeia–Colatio–Virunum antic road, making it easier for this location to develop trade, freight and ironworks. The first iron foundries were activated in 1724. The must-see locations are the Church of St. Lenart and St. Ahac, Robnik’s Forgery and archaeology excavations in Dovže – villa rustica. There are even more opportunities for pleasant trips to the Kope, the central tourist and recreational centre of the Koroška region, Rogla, Turjak, the Stara Glažuta and more. The locals are proud to have the painter Jože Tisnikar born in their area.
