KarawankenKönig 2020

The track is nothing less than the grand travers of the mountainridge called "Karawanken". The Karawanken marking the boarderline between Slovenia in the south and Austria in the north. Even when this area isn't known for an extrem altitude you will face several hard climbs followed by smooth downhills.

Based on the fact that most of the running surface is limestone material the spring water situation is very limited. So don't forget to fill up your flasks at the "Klagenfurter Hütte" and "Koca na Golica".

Also mind you are working out in an alpine area, so easy Via Ferratas are also part of the game as easy rock scrambling.
