Welcome to Haus Gilbert.
We have a love of the outdoors - including hiking, cycling and skiing, so hopefully we can help you get the most out of your stay with us. We are perfect for families who enjoy busy days and quiet evenings.

Haus Gilbert is a small, quiet, family-friendly apartment house in a residential area of Mühlbach am Hochkönig, Salzburger Land.
Mühlbach is a family-friendly village in the middle of some of the most beautiful skiing and hiking landscapes in the Austrian Alps.
We are about 45 minutes by car from Salzburg Airport.
We have three holiday flats (40 sqm, 60 sqm and 39 sqm plus balcony) for 2-4 people each.
Please note that we are not suitable for young groups.
The flats are self-contained and each has a well-equipped eat-in kitchen, one or two separate bedrooms with double bed (with additional sofa bed) and a private bathroom with shower and toilet.
Bed linen and towels are included in the price, as is our on-site car park with one parking space for each flat.
Each flat has free Wi-Fi/WLAN access and cable TV.
There are also has a range of DVDs, games and books which guests are welcome to borrow.
The cleanliness of the house and apartments is very important and we currently provide our guests with the following items: washing-up liquid, sponges, cloths, washing brush, tea towels, bin bags, kitchen roll, all-purpose cleaner, toilet paper and hand soap.
In summer, guests can access hiking and cycling trails directly from the front door.
Hikes from 1 to 13 hours are offered with access to the great alpine huts and the Salzburger Almenweg. Not to be missed is the hike to the Matrashaus (4-6 hours each way) to the summit of the Hochkönig (2,941m).
Via ferratas are located in the immediate vicinity on the Hochkönig itself, via ferratas and via ferrata routes for those seeking a greater challenge.
The large, shared garden with marvellous views of the Hochkönig can be used by guests.
The village centre with supermarket, bakery and restaurants is just a 3-minute walk from the house.
The village's outdoor pool and sunbathing area are just a short walk away. The village also has a great playground for children with a giant slide, zip wire, climbing wall and swings.
The region offers a range of great tourist activities and places to visit, including the beautiful city of Salzburg, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

In peak winter season we have weekly bookings, at other times we may be happy to take shorter length bookings, please contact us for further information.
We accept bank transfers and cash.
We ask for a deposit to secure your booking.
We ask that the final payment is paid two weeks before your stay.
The local guest tax is 2,75 Euros which all guests of 15 years and over have to pay.
From May 2027 the Land Salzburg mobility tax will increase from €0,50 to €1,10 per person, per day over the age of 15. This provides free public transport ( buses and trains) for the duration of your stay.
Guests need to be aware that there is one car parking space for the apartment.
We ask that guests agree to our house rules:
Breakages and damage must be paid for
We are not suitable for groups.
We ask that electrical items such as lights and bathroom fans are turned off when guests are not in the apartment
We ask that outdoor shoes are not worn inside the apartments.
Children must be accompanied by an adult on the balcony.
We ask that guests respect other people in the house and our neighbours during their stay and that apartments are quiet in the evening.
We ask that apartments are quiet after 10pm .
We ask that balconies are not used after 10pm.
We ask that guests respect the apartment and leave it tidy after their stay.
People who are not part of the booking are not permitted to stay overnight in the apartment
