Cammino delle Pievi della Carnia Stage 16 from Zovello to Timau

The route starts from the parking lot further downstream in the village of Zovello and continues along a steep narrow road to the chapel of S.M. del Rosario. After passing through a forest, you reach regional road 465, which leads to Casali Vidal. From here, proceed to Cercivento di Sopra and S. Martino, following the sign M. Tenchia. Then descend to Cercivento di Sotto and follow the path leading to Rio di Vignes, where a forest track begins.

Crossing the But stream, you arrive at St.li Raut, the highest point of the trail. Continue on a paved road to descend to Placcis to the small "stavolo", from which two routes to Timau start. The first crosses the But stream and continues on the right bank to the Sanctuary of Christ the King.

The second climbs to the paved road to the Lavareit cheese factory and continues to the fenced stavolo, where the path to the Ossuary begins.
