The impressive ride on the Tiroler Zugspitzbahn railway up Germany's highest mountain (2,962 m) transports visitors to a mountain world with a magnificent panorama.
You have to enjoy the 4-country view of the two and three thousand metre peaks (and the only four thousand metre peak) of the Eastern Alps at least once! From the spacious viewing terrace, you can see the Grossglockner, Piz Bernina and the television tower in Munich, among others, on a clear day and in good weather. With a bit of luck, visitors can see up to 400 peaks in total from the panorama platform.
From Ehrwald, the Tyrolean Zugspitze cable car takes you up the mountain in a relaxed manner and the ascent itself is a fantastic experience, as the fascinating landscape will leave you in awe. You glide almost silently up the mountain, overcoming a difference in altitude of 1,725 metres in just 10 minutes.
This experience is an absolute must if you are on holiday in the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena!
