Welcome to San Martino in Monte!

San Martino in Monte counts with its 120 inhabitants and the Sanctuary of "Saint Martin" to the most beautiful destinations in South Tyrol. The church was probably built over a pagan sanctuary cave. The current building, in the cave is involved, dates from the 16th century. For this ancient pilgrimage earlier pilgrimages particularly farmers, to pray for their cattle. San Martino, nestled in the fascinating Monte Sole is an ideal starting point for easy hikes, as well as "climbers" . An insider tip is the panoramic trail from San Martino to Silandro.
