This varied tour starts in Viehhofen and initially leads into the Spielberggraben valley, where the ascent begins on quiet paths. Well-maintained forest roads then lead steadily uphill to the sunny side of the Reiterkogel mountain. During the climb, shady forest sections alternate with sunny stretches, offering frequent beautiful views of the valley and the surrounding mountains. Several alpine pastures and huts along the route invite you to stop for a relaxing break, making the tour ideal for dividing into stages. The route is technically straightforward and suitable for both mountain bikers and e-mountain bikers looking for an enjoyable climb with panoramic views.

Parcours
The starting point is Viehhofen. From there, follow the cycle path towards Saalbach until you reach the town centre. After the tunnel, turn uphill towards Spielberggraben. Note: The tunnel is for motor vehicles only, so please use the signposted diversion.

Just before Spielberggraben, turn left onto the forest road and follow it uphill. Just below the Bernkogel, the path leads down to the left towards Speicherteich. After a short flat section, the route continues uphill towards Reiterkogel.

The subsequent descent leads towards the Rosswaldhütte. Turn left there and follow the path on to the Reiterkogel lift station. From there, the route runs downhill via the Pfefferalm to Hinterglemm.

The return journey to Viehhofen is a leisurely ride along the cycle path beside the Saalach.
