As a specialised hiking hotel in Hintertux - Tux, we focus entirely on the needs of hikers. Our guests benefit not only from our outstanding location in the heart of one of Tyrol’s most beautiful hiking regions, but also from a wide range of hiking extras designed to make their stay even more enjoyable. Complimentary hiking poles, personalised hiking advice at the reception desk, a dedicated hiking room with a boot dryer and daily guided hikes in the region all contribute to a comfortable and carefree hiking holiday. In addition, the hiking bus stop is conveniently located directly in front of our hotel.
As specialists in hiking holidays in Tyrol, we know exactly what makes a great hiking experience. That is why each day begins with a wholesome breakfast buffet featuring regional products and local specialities. Many of the delicious ingredients even come from our own farm. After a rewarding day in the mountains, our small sauna area with relaxation room invites you to unwind before spending a pleasant evening on our sunny terrace.
However, Hintertux has much more to offer than hiking alone. Mountain biking, climbing, paragliding and summer skiing on the Hintertux Glacier provide plenty of variety beyond the hiking trails. Other unique attractions include the Nature Ice Palace, located deep within the eternal ice of the glacier, and the fascinating Spannagel Cave.
The Gletscher Aktiv Hotel Kössler is located only around 700 metres from the valley station of the Hintertux Glacier cable car and is considered one of the most popular addresses for guests seeking an active summer holiday in the mountains.
