Wiler

Wiler is the starting point for the cable car to Lauchernalp, which takes you to the hiking area in summer and the ski area up to 3100 metres in winter. Lauchernalp offers a wonderful hiking and activity area suitable for hikers of all fitness levels in summer and a fantastic ski area with winter hiking trails in winter. But the valley also offers
the ‘Gsteinät’ leisure centre also offers plenty of options for a successful day's holiday.

The unspoilt rural mountain village, surrounded by a magnificent landscape, is always an insider tip for all nature lovers, romantics and those seeking relaxation. While the other villages are unstructured cluster villages, Wiler stands out due to the regularity of its village centre. In 1900, the entire village was destroyed by fire and the inhabitants rebuilt Wiler on a chessboard layout.
