Pure mountain life
Cows and sheep on flowering meadows, the dairymaid churning butter and making cheese - this is pure alpine life: enjoy the special features of the alpine pasture, such as Ennstaler Steirerkas in a rye doughnut and put your skills to the test at the Ennstaler Almdiplom. Archduke Johann already loved the Schwarzensee and the alpine pastures at the foot of the Sölkpass. Experience the diversity of the Sölktäler in the Jesuit Garden with over 200 different old varieties of vegetables, herbs and flowers. The Großsölk Castle Nature Park House offers fascinating exhibitions on the history, culture and nature of the Sölktäler. Interesting details about Sölk marble can be discovered on a guided tour of the factory.
Winter magic
Experience the winter magic of the snow-covered mountain villages on a snowshoe hike. You should definitely stop off at a cozy, warm hut and fortify yourself with regional products. Sports enthusiasts can storm the winter peaks on touring skis. Racy descents in powder snow or on firn are the reward for the ascent. Cross-country skiers can experience winter in the nature park to the full.
Whatever you experience - whether summer or winter - the nature park hosts will be happy to spoil you with regional specialties.
