The Höxter-Godelheim leisure centre offers swimming fun and active recreation for the whole family.
The freely accessible bathing lake is located directly on the Weser cycle path not far from Höxter town centre. The best conditions for a short family outing or a saddle break for touring cyclists.
A fine sandy beach with a shallow shore area stretches around the entire bathing bay. Children in particular love the shallow ford between the island and the beach. Easily visible to parents, the little ones can trudge through the shallow water to their heart's content, build castles and create moats. A bucket and shovel are just as much a part of the swimming bag as water wings.
However, you don't have to be a water rat to have lots of fun at the leisure centre. You can also enjoy the well-maintained and extensive grounds while relaxing on the lakeside terrace of the ‘Strandgut’ beach bar or in an inflatable boat on the pond. Numerous playgrounds and sports facilities such as boules, beach volleyball, skate park, pump track and much more will whet your appetite for exercise in the fresh air.
