Covelano is blessed with is own special treasure, i.e. with what is known as "white gold": marble. The Covelano marble quarry is located at an altitude of 2250 m above sea level and as such, it is the highest located marble quarry in the whole of Europe. The village sights that are particularly worth seeing comprise the St. Martin’s parish church, featuring a particularly beautiful three panelled triptych altarpiece dating back to the 15th century and a baroque principal altar, as well as the small Walpurgis chapel.
