The Schiffleutmuseum in Stadl-Paura was opened in 1979.

It is located in one of the oldest houses in Stadl-Paura.

The later abbot of Lambach Abbey, Maximilian Pagl, was born in this house on May 21, 1668, the son of the barrow keeper Balthasar Pagl.

We owe Abbot Maximilian Pagl the magnificent baroque building of the Trinity Church in Stadl-Paura, the Calvary and Mariahilf chapel in Lambach, the magnificent refectory and ambulatory in Lambach Abbey,
and the high altar in the collegiate church.

It was he who laid the foundation stone for the Trinity Column on Linz's main square.
A separate exhibition is dedicated to this important Lambach abbot in the Schiffleutmuseum.
