Against an impressive mountain backdrop, surrounded by larches and birches, the parish church of St. Nicholas greets you from a moraine hill.

This church is undoubtedly one of the most beautifully situated churches in North Tyrol and is repeatedly chosen as a motif by photographers and painters. The local painter "Tribulaun" has also often painted the church on the hill. It was built in late Baroque style in 1760 and 1761. As early as 1339, a chapel was mentioned in a document on the same spot.

Obernberg's "landmark" is definitely worth a visit. A church guide is available in the church for those who are particularly interested.

Freely accessible during the day.
