The MTB 3-Tour can also be driven counter-ClockWise: From Reichenfels we head south, cross the main road and through a tunnel the legendary Lavantalbahn. At Martel we continue straight ahead.

In a right curve you can take the signposted path to the Kölzer Sodaquelle, which can be used up to a barred barrier (5 min.). Then it is again 5 min by foot across the way and, if you want alternatively a small path up to the source. The water is drinkable in small doses and tastes tingling soda or mineral water. There are also tables and benches for a first rest. Then again the same way back to the diversion.

Now it is always up the forest roads, where 4 cow gates must be opened, another gate is locked and the wheels have to be lifted over the hiker's overpass. (A one-off for an official MTB circuit!)

For lunch, the rustic Petererhütte, which also has sleeping places, is recommended.
