An excursion with the Heidelberger Bergbahnen is an experience at any time of the year. During the journey and at the individual stations, there are beautiful views of Heidelberg and the Neckar valley.

The ride starts at the Kornmarkt in the romantic old town with the modern, lower mountain railway. It stops at the famous Heidelberg Castle. The ticket for the train also includes the entrance to the castle courtyard, the barrel cellar and the German Pharmacy Museum. From the castle, the train continues to the Molkenkur transfer station. Where spa guests used to dedicate themselves to whey fasting, there are numerous hiking trails.

Up to the Königstuhl are the more than 100-year-old original cars of the upper mountain railway. There, the Falknerei Tinnunculus and the Heidelberger Märchenparadies invite you to visit. Recreation and exercise are promised by entertaining hiking trails such as the Via Naturae and the forest adventure trail, which is particularly suitable for children. For a break in between, there are regional kiosks at the Königstuhl and Molkenkur stations:

Times
The mountain railways run all year round. The lower train runs every 10 minutes between Kornmarkt, Schloss and Molkenkur and the upper train between Molkenkur and Königstuhl every 20 minutes.
