Snowpark Alta Badia – Il dolce far Freestyle

While the autumn is presenting itself with some ‘bellissimo’ weather, a feverish preparation work for the next winter season at the Snowpark Alta Badia is in progress at the foot of the sunny Dolomites. Hardly surprising, after all, a season packed with highlights lies ahead of us! The blatantly creative setup will inspire freestylers of all levels. On top of that, a new edition of the legendary QParks Tour stop La Freestyla is on the menu, as well as the VIP Freeski Pro Coaching as a special treat. And to give you a fresh breeze of virtual winter air, we have prepared two brand-new edits just for you - che belli!

If you associate “bella Italia” only with a summer holiday spent at the beach, you have evidently never experienced that incredible winter paradise that is the Val Badia valley. Here, the mighty cliffs of the Dolomites, the breathtaking nature, plenty of finest powder and the amazing Snowpark Alta Badia let the hearts of all freeskiers and snowboarders leap with joy. Now that we have put away our swimming suits and want to heat rather than cool our apartments once more, it is high time we had a look at the highlights which await us in the winter season 2014/2015 in one of the most popular Italian snowparks.

Thanks to its ideal position, at the Snowpark Alta Badia you can enjoy memorable runs in glorious sunshine – while the sun and the setup try to outshine one another. This year anew, our creative shape crew will build a freestyle playground made of more than 40 obstacles, which leaves no desires unfulfilled. Beginners can have a go at the different butter boxes and jumps with tables between 3 and 4 meters in the Beginner Area, while more advanced riders can find the right challenge for them in the Medium Area. Among the numerous jib highlights, such as the 6m Wallride, the 9m Down/Flat/Down Box, the 9m Downrail or the brand-new Lollipop, here you can also find some middle-sized kickers with tables up to 7m. The ones among you who need it un po’ wilder should pay the Advanced Area a visit for some airtime deluxe! Here, experienced riders can find 6 jumps with tables up to 12m, which are most definitely not for the faint-hearted. Moreover, a 10m Corner is ready for take offs. Naturally, THE event highlight of the season will be back again this year. On the 25th of January 2015, the QParks Tour stop La Freestyla will transform the park into a contest ring. Thus, participants should also consider beginning with their training a bit earlier this year. Attenzione to all freeskiers! This year anew, you guys are in for a special treat! In the new edition of the VIP Freeski Pro Coaching, you once again have the chance to grab one of the much sought after spots and spend a day with a real pro at the Snowpark Alta Badia. All details on this event will be released in due time during the season, so pay attention not to overlook them!

Mamma mia, so many things that we can look forward to! But still, we have to patient until the first session is a go. To increase your anticipation even more, we have also prepared two fresh edits for all snowboarders and freeskiers who long for Dolce Far Freestyle so much as we do.
