Comeback with a global innovation
Where the Valisera Bahn once made history when it was built 40 years ago, you will find yet another global innovation in December 2021. The first semi-automatic 10-seater gondola is being constructed at the former valley station in St. Gallenkirch, near the existing Grasjoch Bahn.

The new area around the Valisera Bahn won't be a cable car station in the traditional sense. In fact, Silvretta Park Montafon is creating a high-quality area worth staying in, where guests, locals, and employees can meet. Your mountain activity starts in the valley!

An underground car park with plenty of e-charging stations and a total of 600 parking spaces gives you convenient, quick, and direct access to the platform. The various stalls within the large market hall have something to entice every food fan and the links to the local region are obvious. Find everything you could need for your mountain adventure at the Intersport shop opposite the market hall. And go to the new ski school center to find out more about the courses on offer or book guides and mountain activities.

Silvretta Montafon - The sportiest ski area

The Montafon Alpine Valley is located in the south of Vorarlberg at the south-western end of Austria. It is surrounded by the mountain ranges of the Rätikon, the Silvretta and the Verwall. Access to the Silvretta Montafon ski area is provided by the villages of Schruns, Tschagguns, St. Gallenkirch-Gortipohl, Gaschurn-Partenen and Silbertal.

The ski area
The Silvretta Montafon stands for skiing pleasure, guaranteed snow and sensations! Snow-hungry skiers will find fantastic conditions for an active holiday. 35 cable cars and lifts as well as 141 excellently prepared kilometres of pistes are waiting to be discovered by you. Numerous ski routes and powder slopes make the area a freeride hotspot par excellence. The snow park promises freestylers the ultimate playground for adrenaline rushes. The longest valley run in Vorarlberg challenges endurance pros with 1,700 metres of altitude. The Cross Park guarantees fun for the whole family. Black slopes with gradients of up to 81% as well as race tracks with time measurement round off the slope adventure. In future, you can enjoy the morning atmosphere on the mountain at the "Ländle Früah Sport" on Saturdays from 7.30 am. Ascent with the Zamang cable car.

Extraordinary experiences
Additional highlights are guaranteed in the Silvretta Montafon with the "Mountain Experiences". Early risers can really let their skis go for once on our sunrise runs. After the turns on empty, untracked pistes, a hearty mountain breakfast beckons afterwards. For powder fans, we offer training in skiing technique and off-piste safety, as well as guided freeride tours.

Culinary delights
The mountain restaurants - with large terraces for extensive sunbathing - will delight every gourmet. The culinary journey in the Silvretta Montafon takes you around the world: from Italy to Asia to Bavaria and back to the down-to-earth Montafon. There, gourmet cuisine still means cooking with regional products, freshness and creativity. One of the special attractions is the mountain breakfast.
