Tagwache um 06.30 Uhr und Feierabend um 23.00 Uhr. In einer intensiven Woche lernten die sechs Gewinner des Snowlive Video-Contests von den beiden Mentoren Charles Michel von der Videoacademy und Patrick Armbruster von Absinthe Films Tipps und Tricks bezüglich Kameraführung, Bildkomposition, Ton und Storytelling. Die ungeheure Kreativität und Spontanität der gesamten Gruppen sorgten dafür, dass die ursprünglich geplanten Konzepte, die in drei Teams verfolgt werden sollten, kurzerhand verworfen wurden um Platz für neue Ideen zu schaffen. Diese fanden ganz besonders im Snowboardteil des Gemeinschaftwerks in unglaublichen Bildern Ausdruck. Beim Filmen mit Gian Simmen und zwei talentierten Snowboardern, die er für «Swiss Snowboard» trainiert, profitierten die Gewinner nicht nur vom Können der Fahrer, sondern auch von der langjährigen Filmerfahrung des ehemaligen Olympia-Siegers. Ergänzt wurde das Action-Paket mit einer Tour auf dem Fee-Gletscher, wo das Team u.a. atemberaubende Naturerlebnisse, wie das Abseilen in eine Gletscherspalte und Versuche im Eisklettern, dokumentierte. Entstanden ist letztendlich ein acht minütiger Film, der durch seine Bildsprache und Ehrlichkeit überzeugt und Lust auf mehr macht. Trotz Aufnahmen mit den Sony Amateurkameras, die Teil des Gewinns waren, steht dieser professionell produzierten Filmen in nichts nach.

Thursday 22nd March -- The sun continued to blaze down for day three of The BRITS and the Protest Slopestyle Championships. The glorious sunshine did mean the course slowed down slightly and the wind picked up but this didn't stop skiers pulling out all the stops on the exciting new slopestyle course. Ultimately it was two BRITS newcomers, Lucas Hagland and Chloe Hardy that reined victorious and bagged themselves the top podium spot.

Tuesday 20th March -- A fresh covering of snow, Laax's pristine superpipe and blue bird conditions greeted riders on the first day of competition at the Dare 2b Halfpipe Championships. It was go big or go home for Britain's finest skiers with BRITS regular and Dare 2b rider James Machon taking gold for the guys and BRITS newcomer Janina Kuzma exploding on to the scene to take the top spot for the girls.

For two days the DC riders stayed with the QParks media crew in Lenzerheide and had epic weather conditions for the shooting. We took a look behind the scenes on those two days and asked all participants how such a shooting passes off!

After a nice shooting day with perfect weather conditions, Ralf and the shooting crew finished their day with a tasty raclette! With the remaining cheese Ralf spontaneously rebuilt his park setup to give us a complete overview – check it out!

Blue sky and a creative slopestyle setup welcomed some of the best riders on the TTR Tour to the TTR Nescafe Champs Open 2012 in Leysin, Switzerland. In the end it was TTR Slopestyle World Ranking leader Roope Tonteri who took home the win followed by Mathias Weissenbacher and Nuutti Niemela. On the womens side Swiss Isabel Derungs took the top spot with an impressive run which included a massive backside rodeo.

LAAX/SUI (March 1, 2012) – Another bluebird day, spring temperatures and an epic Slopestyle course laid the groundwork for one of the Burton European Open’s most memorable slopestyle competitions earlier today. Jamie Anderson (USA) successfully defended her title and won the BEO Slopestyle for the second year in a row, while Aleksander Ostreng (NOR) won his first international title today.
