A warm welcome in the Gartenhotel Daxer!

Our 75-room hotel is located in Zell am See – Schmittental, 2 km above the city centre. Zell am See is a small mountain town which has around 10,000 inhabitants, located in the heart of the European sports region Zell am See – Kaprun. Schmittenhöhebahn cable cars, the Sonnenalmbahn and TrassXPress are just a 3 minute walk from our hotel.

At 1000m altitude, Gartenhotel Daxer is located in a mist-free zone on the sunny side of the valley.

Get cosy! All rooms and suites in the hotel have a shower/WC, as well as hairdryer, cable-TV, telephone, safe, balcony and terrace.

Wellness

Relax and unwind in our quiet room – in our sauna or in our herbal steam bath you get to re-energise for the next day of your holiday.
Bathing fun in the heated indoor swimming pool which is 9 x 5 m and in the natural bathing pond – which is solar heated and measures 10 x 6 m (only in summer).

Winter

Our hotel is located on the sunny side of the Schmittental, right beside the valley stations for the Schmittenhöhebahn, Sonnenalmbahn, TrassXPress and the practice T-bar lift, the Falleck lift.

The European sporting region of Zell am See – Kaprun offers all types of winter sports, from skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, ice-skating, horse-drawn carriage rides, tobogganing, torch-lit walks, winter hikes and also curling. Alternatives, like tennis, squash, horse-riding and adventure pools, are also offered.

The Truschner Ski School is located at the Sonnenalmbahn valley station. If you would like to take some ski lessons we can organise a ski instructor for you in the hotel, who will be able to advise you on group and individual courses which are available.

Bus connections are excellent (free with your ski pass), and take you to the town centre or to the Kitzsteinhorn.

Swimming fun in the heated indoor pool which measures 9 x 5 m.
