Station de ski Schmitten - Zell am See

Enjoy skiing and sunshine on long runs and relaxing on lovely sun terraces.
The first ascent with modern cable car facilities – including the stylish Schmittenhöhe cable car from the Por-sche Design Studio – is the beginning of your winter adventure. The Schmittenhöhe cable car began operation in 1927 and was the first cable car to transport guests in Land Salzburg. A lot has happened since then: now there are 26 cable car facilities bringing winter athletes up to an altitude of 2000m and 77 beautifully groomed piste kilometers. Guests are also enticed by the inviting sun terraces of many huts and their superb culinary delights.

Funslope XXL
Another highlight, on the sunny side of the Schmitten is the Funslope next to the Hochmais lift on the Sonnenalm – with guaranteed fun elements such as the Schnecken (snail), Tunnel or Steilkurven (steep curves). With an unbelievable length of 1.300m the Schmitten Funslope is the longest Funslope in the world and guarantees burning thighs by the end of the course!
The Snowpark area is right next to the Funslope. It makes the first step into the freestyle world easier, with its butter boxes, wave boxes and kickers. However, it is not only for beginners, advanced freestylers can also find it demanding.

Everyone is a movie star
Feel like a star on the slopes with a ski movie. Tomorrow´s film stars can shoot an action-packed ski movie here. There is also the skiline-piste kilometer for those who want to know how many kilometers they have skiied/boarded on the Schmitten in one day. Both the ski movie and the piste kilometer can be downloaded under and sent to those at home.
The GoPro HD Action Camera is a „must“ for guests on the Schmitten slopes and can be borrowed free of charge from the InfoCenter, to shoot one´s own ski day film.
