Schihütte und Wanderhütte Hauser Kaibling

Location
The Hauser Kaibling is part of a four-mountain ski area that includes the Kaibling, the Planai, the Hochwurzen and the Reiteralm.
The ski hut is located in the middle of the ski area at 1,850 m above sea level and offers a wonderful view of the surrounding mountains. It is easily accessible for good skiers and offers space for a maximum of six people. If you leave the mountain station of the Kaibling 6er chairlift, you will be at the ski hut in two turns and back on the slopes in just a few moments.

On the ground floor of the ski hut there is an entrancearea with space for clothes, bathroom and toilet as well as a cozy living room with dining and living area including a sofa bed. Heating and hot water preparation are generally electrical. The attic of the ski hut has been converted into a bedroom for four people. The western loft is accessible to customers and is used to store transport containers and also contains blankets for people who are sensitive to the cold.
The sports equipment is stored in the farm building next to the ski hut and up to five pairs of shoes are dried in a box with a built-in ski boot dryer.

There is also enough firewood for the cozy fireplace in the living room.
You will also find two garbage containers for the waste generated.

Getting there
Please arrive in good time with a winterized car, as the lifts are only in operation until 4:00 p.m. (chair lifts) or 4:30 p.m. (Tauern cable car) and after that there is NO way to get to the ski hut as it is in the middle is in the ski area!!!
We strongly recommend that you choose backpacks as luggage, as this is the only way you can easily transport your belongings to the ski hut with your skis.
There are three ways to get to the ski hut: With option 1, you park your car free of charge directly at the large parking lot next to the gondola in the valley. Take the gondola to the middle station and then change to the chairlift. The Kaibling 6er chairlift takes you closer to the hut on the mountain and you can see it shortly before you get out.
Variant 2: Please only with a vehicle suitable for winter! Drive by car on a well-maintained road to the Stöcklhütte, where you can park your vehicle free of charge in the parking lot and fill your backpacks. For the further ascent, use the Kaibling 6er chairlift; The valley station is a little below the car park, the mountain station is just above the ski hut, which you can then reach with two turns. With variant 3, you use the Tauern cable car for the entire ascent, where you unfortunately have to expect longer waiting times and greater crowds in the valley station on heavy change days. The parking lot there is not suitable for leaving the car there permanently.

food
If you don't always want to cater for yourself in the ski hut, enjoy the culinary offerings of the Krummholzhütte and Berggasthof. You can reach both restaurants on foot in a short time.

Prices and services
In addition to the use of the holiday cabin, the rental price per day/night includes water, electricity, wood for the stove in the kitchen-living room, towels, bed linen, table linen and kitchen linen for a maximum of six people during the booking period. The price also includes so-called “basic foods” in the form of coffee, coffee filters, tea, sugar, salt, pepper and other spices, vinegar and oil. Of course, there is always enough toilet paper and kitchen rolls.
